    C-Dory parts from Triton

They can be difficult to reach. But I did get a swim step built a few months ago, and it was built promptly. Communication is unpredictable, maybe because they mostly deal with dealers these days.

    Venture 29 Questions....

This one? http://mastermarine.com/boat_detail.php?key=135 I see it every time I go up to Bellingham.

LED replacements for 2006 22' Cruiser

http://store.marinebeam.com/led-replace ... ights.html Very bright bulb, the indentation on the side lets it fit around the stock dome light's bulb socket. I got the BA15d, warm white.

    seacock during reynolds ownership

See this thread: http://www.c-brats.com/viewtopic.php?t=15752&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 Also, this article is excellent: http://www.pbase.com/mainecruising/sealing_the_deck WestSystem is great. I don't think I'd use JB Weld for this purpose on a boat.

    Ground Fault Interupter outlets

There is absolutely no difference. Marinco GFCIs are now rebranded Leviton home grade outlets. Marinco confirmed this, and the ABYC said there's no distinction. So get $9 ones from the hardware store instead of $30+ ones from a boat store.

    Exploded glass cabin door

I was thinking that the thick band of black (rubber?) trim on the inside of the door cradles the glass and holds it against the outer seal.

    Exploded glass cabin door

I think it's also for safety -- if a window in a vehicle breaks, it's better to have tiny shards than a few dozen large knife shaped pieces.

    Stereo install recap

Thanks for the comments! The JVC has front and rear AUX inputs, and a front USB input. It was $74 with free shipping from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006B1C3UW I just purchased a *tiny* 32GB USB drive, barely larger than the connector that I will put all my music on and leave in...

    Exploded glass cabin door

When I close the door on my 2006, the deadbolt lines up fine, but to get the door to latch without the deadbolt I have to pull up on the handle and then it pops in. I wonder if the shear stress from a misaligned latch/strike plate can contribute to the stress that caused the shattering.

    C-Dory Sightings

I was at the Sloop in Ballard today after stopping by my boat at the Locks. A 22 went by eastbound on a trailer, maybe 7:30 pm, but it was too dark for my slightly colorblind eyes to tell the color. Must have been out fishing?

    Stereo install recap

I was thinking that too at first, but they can be tilted so they point straight down, and in that position, they have a much smaller profile. I went back out to the boat tonight to play some CDs (reward), and the JVC was doing its demo thing, cycling through all the thousands of colors it can...

    Stereo install recap

This weekend I installed a nice stereo system on our boat that is very simple, sounds great, and is really flexible and unobtrusive. Here's the basic parts breakdown: * PolyPlanar MA7500W speakers (http://www.hodgesmarine.com/POLY-PLANAR ... a7500w.htm) * JVC KDR530 head unit...

    3 step swim ladder conversion

I believe people are talking about the stainless telescoping ladder that hangs off the swim step, not the step in the cockpit.

    House Bank Charging

Hmmm. I thought VSR and ACR were different manufacturer's names for the same thing, that is they both bridge the batteries when the one attached to the charging source reaches full charge. Can you provide a model number?

Lateral trim question for 22's with kicker to starboard.

Ideally, I would think a good place to start would be to get the boat closely balanced with the "permanent" equipment. Anchors, batteries, kicker, half full water tank (on average). When you've achieved this, then all that's left is to arrange your temporary gear. If you're starting with a boat...

Lateral trim question for 22's with kicker to starboard.

I'm almost always cruising with my wife, so she cancels out the weight of the 9.9 kicker. I'm also going to be moving my house battery to port with the started battery. By removing 44lbs from port side and adding 44lbs to starboard side, it has the same effect as adding 88lbs to the starboard...
