Small hole in tansom after kicker bracket installation

I for one would love to see the vertical hole fill pix. Any chance of adding album? Thanks.

    Ladder for bow?

I installed a telescoping ladder that lays on deck and swings over for use. Make sure to use a metal backing plate for mounting through bolts. Easy. Available at Amazon, West Marine, etc. About $100 or so.

    Cockpit Load

I've got two batteries and two fuel tanks back there and hardly room for a pump. It's never been an issue before and I assume it was due to all the weight in back that day including a big cooler full of halibut. Not sure now if there is an additional drain hole. Probably my oldzheimer's again.

    Cockpit Load

These older boats not equipped w bilge pump at transom only at cabin bulkhead. Am I delusional or is there not an open drain hole above the the transom drain plug?

    Cockpit Load

Were four healthy men fishing in cockpit of CD22 cruiser yesterday resulting in water accumulation in rear half of cockpit while anchored. A case of overloading and low stern? I believe there is an open drain hole in fuel tank "sump area" in addition to transom drain plug no?

    What's in the keel?

As for "simple" repair...laying under boat with fiberglass goop wanting to drip all over you as you layer the fill was not one of my happier boat ownership experiences.

    What's in the keel?

I had significant damage to my keel in area you mentioned from unfriendly encounter with local rock. Gouged a foot of keel almost to hull. It was all solid fill with no penetration to hull body. Repaired with fiberglass fill, cloth and gel coat. Good as new.

    Lazarette hatch lock

Right, of course sorry. Looks like this.

    Lazarette hatch lock

Anyone ever replace the lock mechanism on the hatch. After almost 40 years, could use replacement. Finding direct replacement fit seems daunting.

    Water in Cabin Yet Again

I like it too Richard. Never seen a plug in potty area on this older model. But the rest makes sense. The good news: Went out again today. Hour out and hour back. Only got about less than 1/2 cup this time so maybe it's on way to dry. Next good rain pour should tell if leaks are continuing and...

    Water in Cabin Yet Again

All good guesses but no cigars. I took the whole galley out and put a bench seat in its place with transfer pump in stowage under seat connected to a remote pickup to cockpit instead of bilge pump. No sink, no water tank. 1988s did not have hoses under door (except maybe water tank line but...

    Water in Cabin Yet Again

RE: boat attitude. While driving boat yesterday, I could tell that water was not streaming from fore to aft in cabin. Entire potty cubby was dry as well. My best guess is that somehow fresh water penetrated boat and remained only to slowly appear with boat motion. Time will tell if this source...

    Water in Cabin Yet Again

I am making lemons into lemonade: 12 oz bottles of Mystery C-Water; Only $5 plus S&H. Limited quantities (I hope!), FCFS. Convinced not condensation. Not to create a quart in less than an hour. And when I do have condensation, it's all over the cabin ceiling. It was dry. Windows as well.

    Water in Cabin Yet Again

Appreciate your thoughts Roger. Boat was completely dry in slip before heading out for fishing. Motion of boat started the water seepage when underway (from aft cabin area). Return trip was in 3ft seas which caused greater motion and much greater seepage. No substantial rain here in over a week...

    Water in Cabin Yet Again

Oh I've tasted it. More than once. Not leaning to berth foam theory. Yesterday entire berth area and potty cubby stayed dry. Water was appearing from door area first.

    Water in Cabin Yet Again

Slowly headed into the Twilight Zone...went fishing today in salt. Came back with a quart of FRESH water in cabin all accumulating by door. Again, no water tank or other fresh water on board. I may have the only CDory made with an onboard well. It's pretty mind boggling.

    Water in Cabin Yet Again

Yes Harvey into salt. If you mean washing of boat, that was couple of weeks ago.
