Thanks. I tracked it down to a seized throttle cable. Haven't had to use it in 8 years. Ordered a new cable. Hope I can get all the pieces back together same way. Cable does not budge in its housing.

As I've posted previously, I've had an ongoing issue with rain water intrusion into cabin. Quite a lot. Anyway, I proceeded to 4200 every thru hull screw, bolt, etc in cabin as well as a loose fresh water vent. Also cleaned out all the window drains. It rained yesterday and so far not a drop in...

While doing maintenance on 49er, I removed the bilge drain plug and found it rusted and barely if at all functional - maybe why I was getting water in cockpit while under way. It's an expanding rubber and brass plug. Wondering if all of you use same or anything better?

Batteries are encased in battery boxes. Prior owner mounted metal support over half of sump to hold rear battery. There's no room. I would need to remove that support "shelf" and relocate rear battery.

I'm doing Spring maintenance on 49er and once again looking at installing a pump in transom sump area. And once again I am stumped by lack of space due to dual batteries in the space between fuel tanks. I suppose the only solution would be to relocate at least one battery to the Lazarette. Ideas?
