    Navionics for iPad

As far as I can tell the iPad with 3G has a gps chip that uses AGPS data for faster location data. What is not clear to me is how many satilites it can lock onto when using intergrated gps which is the method used by other chart plotters that is known to be an accurate means of locating your...

    Navionics for iPad

After a little research it seems that when a wifi only iPad is tethered to a 3G iPhone that it does get the gps signal as well! Only thing I'm not to sure of is the update time between the two devices, it's not real time as far as I can tell on the iPad and this may be a bit of a concern.

    Navionics for iPad

I was under the impression that because I have a 3G enabled iPhone 4 I can use it as a hotspot for my wifi only iPad. It seems that there is some confusion here from others I have talked to as well. Does anyone know if I can receive a gps signal this way without buying another device like a dual...

    Fuel flow gauge

I agree with the keeping it simple thing, that is one of the reasons I enjoy the c-dory so much but saying that the fact remains that knowing your fuel burn is valuable knowledge especially with the price of fuel being what it is! Being a recreation pilot I have been surprised more than once...

    Fuel flow gauge

Ya, not sure I like the idea of a paddle wheel transducer, just seems prone to failure. Being that my engine is a 2001 carbed 80 I don't think using the engines computer is an option. Looks like I have some reading to do.

    Best very small dinghy motor

After buying and using a 2.5 Suzuki all last season I would highly recommend it! This little gem is inexpensive, reliable, lightweight, has fwd and neutral not that lame clutch like the Honda and uses the same fuel as any other 4 stroke. :thup

    Yamaha 80 feedback

I have a Yamaha 80 carb as well and have been happy with it. As long as you are doing your regular services and maintenance and the carbs are tuned for the proper elevation I don't think you will have a problem. .Obviously you will be getting as much info as possible on the history of this...

    250-HR Yamaha 70 report

Some good info here, im curious how twin 70s on a 25 would be. The only thing is last time i checked the 70 was not available in x long shaft. Maybe it will be in the future. Seems to me this engine/ hull would be a potent combo. A significant weight savings over twin 90s.

    Below the water line maintenance?

Checking any holes in the hull below the waterline on a new to you boat is a good idea just to be sure there is no water intrusion. You may also want to check your brass keel strip screw holes.
