I used the Imtra 4000 ones as well. I had some balsa rot around some of the old screw holes, caused by poor sealing from the factory so I had to auger that out and at the same time added some plywood shims to fill in the gap, then glassed.
They are a close fit on the 23, any larger and they...
When I replaced mine (same 06 Cape Cruiser), I don't think these were available, so I replaced the originals with the Imtra model.
I had to glass in some shims, etc. but it turned out nice, and the lazarettes are now dry. Yay!
These Bomars look a lot like the Imtras, with the top of the lid...
I have this King trailer, not sure of the model as the plate has long been obliterated. I assume this is the 102" (I haven't measured), because the boat sits between the fenders.
This trailer fits the boat perfectly, easy to launch and retrieve, offers a step on top of the fenders to easily get...
I looked for pictures also, yours are the first I have seen that are similar to what mine looks like. I will try and take a couple of pics and will post them on this thread. It does feel like very tough material.
Apologies for the misunderstanding, the pics seem to show the inspection hole...
I have a 2006 Cape Cruiser, so we have the same boat.
I had water under the cabin floor and so I cut an inspection port close to the cabin door. I was stunned to see some sort of purple-red material that was cracked and had water in the cracks, similar to what you see - only yours appears to be...
Welcome Peter!
Nice to have another Canadian C-Brat!
Finding a C-Dory in Western Canada for sale is pretty rare, and Grand Prairie of all places! :D
We are in Tsawwassen and do boat and fish (when fishing is open ..... :sad ) around the Nanaimo area at times. (Thrasher Rock). We also...
My solution to this was to find a local fabricator to make one. It took a little digging, but I was able to find a local guy who does stainless steel work. It turned out pretty good for about $1200 CDN.

This was such an informative and entertaining thread back in 2009, I thought I would bring it to the top again.
I am trying to learn the COLREGS and their associated rule numbers, and in looking for ways to remember them I try to learn mnemonics or sayings. "Red right return" for example when...
What a bizarre story! Here's another link to it..

Apparently the "mariner" is from our local waters (Victoria)..and stole the boat..

For sure, I don't care for the existing plastic one..
I think Bob may have meant that the antenna comes with a short adapter cable to go from the bottom antenna connector (PL259?) to a small UHF connector. Then, all I need to solder is a new UHF connector on the cable that I feed through the...
Thanks Brats!
Does it come with a cable/lead? It looks like it has a connector on the bottom for a cable? I find the world of RF connectors often confusing... :?
If I need to order a cable as well, and it has connectors on both ends, would it still be possible to run the cable through the...
