    Wallas Heater Total Confusion

all this and for what. I guess ve miss the point. has someboby expired in the boat with a wallas running? a better question might be 'how many wallassas have kepy how many people warm for how many years with out an incident? some people just seem naturally bitter toward this brand and maybe if...

Good Deal on Webasto Heater from Nick at Interstate in Iowa

not as trim of appearance as my Wallas and giving up entire cabinet would not work. Were those mount holes drilled thru cabin wall? Did installer seal them as Dr Bob suggest. defrost is easily acomplished by mounting bilge blower fan above electronic shelf and ducting air to 3 cut's in shelf...

    clinometer, finally

different applications all together. quite some effort has gone into boat trim and how it relates to efficency. by checking speed over water at various trims, its obvious you can leave performance on the table if you have no concern. To some maybe not knowing, were talking port to starboard trim...

    clinometer, finally

don't get to hung up on range of motion, as you are correct about the wetting! a total of 120 deg of range is simple coincidence. once the gear driving the needle was replaced with a pendulum the original 360 deg rotation was reduced to what ever the saphire bearing supports would allow. in this...

    Mouse House

A while ago, I mentioned showing you the picture of the "Mouse House" cover ve made for the cabin drain hole. Refreshing the memory, I told you we have a small catnip mouse (cat toy) which ve position at different places in boat. When kids find him, they return him to his "home". Sorry this...

    one more to go.

earlier this week ve cleard a good bit of unfruitful rubbish from the garden. Our goal is to have it functional again in a couple years but one particularly arogant tree persist. He stands defiantly in the center of the old garden, acting like he run's the place. Ve will hew him down bit by bit...

interesting C-Dory on Craigs List Seattle

YOur kidding probabbly, that thing has c-dory written all over. Ve see it this way, take one of the few bowpickers made, sharpen up the bow, move the cabin foward and ad trunk in front of that. Blocky cabin looks a lot like a blockd version of Alvig. Maybe a pre mold version. Maybe stitch and...

    Yikes! Mouse on Board!

Ve have a resident mouse on board and my grand children loves it! Well. sort of. In the center of the step going from cabin to cockpit at floor level is a half round hole where cabin water can get thru and to the bilge pump under step. Sort of an unsightly hole so  I took some thin...

Bilge water / poor scupper arrangement

This is on a 25ft boat and access was gained by shinnining under the splash well to work. (Mostly my arms). Today I set boat at it's rest posture on trailer and washed everything, scuppers appear to work well. Will get first hand experience Tuesday morning! Martin

Bilge water / poor scupper arrangement

Don't get me wrong, ve love that boat but we have sure had to re do plenty of things on er. For some times ve have noticed 3 to 4 gallon of water in the bilge after a 3 to5 day trip. Finally getting off my arse and envestagating I found the following. Scupper ports are not even close to the same...
