    The...TugNuts?

Thank you C-brats for including Ranger Tug in this site. I know it was a bit controversial at first. Our boating experience has been greatly enhanced due to our association with this site. You are a great group of people. Hope to see you on the water in the PNW! Nancy and Kerry

    Finishing Out Your Ranger

The doors look great. In the instructions it said to put additional coats on before the wood was totally dry and then you don't have to sand between coats. I sprayed on 3 very light coats, 2 hours apart, and it worked perfect. I did my "test run" on the doors in the cockpit and they still...

    Finishing Out Your Ranger

I was told they used Minwax, Helmsman Spar urethane indoor/outdoor - which is what I have been using on the interior or our tug. It also comes in a handy spray can which works great on the louvre doors. Nancy

    power while on the hook

We mix our trips with anchoring and marinas and usually charge our batteries while underway. I suspect, however, you will get some great info. from people who anchor more than we do. Mac has installed solar panels that seem to be working really well.

    power while on the hook

We can go for two nights with power to spare. We leave the fridge on, use cabin lights sparingly, but run the laptop almost continuously. We also use the stereo. You will find there are lots of cabin light options. We tend to use the dining lights at night while on the hook and then the...

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH YOUR RANGER TUG TODAY ??

Mac and Linda What a great trip. A special thanks for the vodka tip! Seriously, appreciate all the great info. Will have to take a closer look at those solar panels. Have often thought of stopping at Hope Island. How protected is it? A good place to hike/walk around? Nancy and Kerry

R21-ec trailering and launching and other issues

On our R25 we have an electric/butane combo stove. We have had no problems with the butane and have been pleased at how easy it is to operate. The canister lasts much longer than we anticipated. No complaints here! Nancy

    Water heater not heating

When this happened to us, we discovered there was a reset button. Ours is behind a metal panel on the hot water heater. Nancy

We keep our R25 in Puget Sound. Our drains have never clogged. We added one zinc to each trim tab.

    New Ranger 29

I have heard rumours that Ranger is working on a larger tug. Will be interesting to see what they decide to do given todays economy and fuel prices.

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH YOUR RANGER TUG TODAY ??

We have hull #46. To pump out while underway, you have to flip a "switch" that is located under the access panel that is in the cockpit and inside the teak doors. Our tug came with the switch open and ready to pump out. We keep it closed while underway because of Coast Gaurd regulation...

Hi Warren and assistants! We had a great time at our first c-brat gathering! It was so nice to put some faces with the names. Trinity made it home to Edmonds with fairly calm waters on Sunday. All the c-brats made us feel very welcome and we hope to see many of you soon out on the water...

Thanks for all the tips. Not sure yet if we will be going through in the am or afternoon on the 23rd. Will be sure to have all the charts out and print-outs of all the tips. Kerry has never gotten us into trouble yet, I am just an overly cautious planner ! ! ! Will be sure to wave as we pass...
