    Sequim

The old duster knows and loves Sequim. Sequim High graduate in 1937. Born in Port Angeles 1920. Family in Sequim area since 1893. Great fishing area and easy boating to get to the fish. Of course DANAG will probably already have caught the big one. Do it! You won't be sorry. Dusty

    Whidbey Island Landslide

And right now we are watching a water ski guy out in front of the house. Very good too, doing jumps and flips. So best pick the East side of Whidbey, huh? We did, and have enjoyed it for 35 years. That slide stuff ain't good. Dusty

    Whidbey Island Landslide

Thanks Dave, and we are really enjoying the sun. Gray whale out in front of the house a few minutes ago -- life on Whidbey isn't all bad! Happy Easter to all! Dusty

    Happy Birthday Sawdust!

What a thrill for the ancient one to get all of the birthday messages. Thanks a million to each of you and sure hope to see many of you soon. I still shrimp and crab on friends C Dories -- and miss the good old days. A ton of fond memories. Love, Dusty

    Pearl Harbor's greatest lesson

Thanks for all the thanks. I'm lucky to be a survivor -- so many didn't. War is a young man's game. I was 24 the first time I was shot down. Our pilots averaged 22 and crewmen 19. One of my gunners did okay, guy named Paul Newman. Went on to be a shipmate with Charlie Vinroot -- always liked...

    Pearl Harbor's greatest lesson

At 93 in Feb. my ancient mind still remembers. 14 of us left from the original torpedo bomber squadron. Yep, old, tired, lazy but surviving beats any alternative. A Merry Christmas to all of the Brats. Dusty

    Old Timers

Old timer? Guess I qualify, but don't post often. With my 6 C-Dory fleet and Tomcat all history, there isn't much to write about. I visit daily and it is still my favorite site, but get my excitement from watching son-in-law in his 22 CD pull crab pots in front of our house. The old timers who...

    It's finally happening

Happy for your safe trip. Welcome to God's country -- and mine. Gma taught school there in 1893, Mom born there in 1898, I was born there in 1920. When you and lovely Dana get settled, I'd like to visit you and your neighbors, and help clean fish. :P Dusty
