2008 22' Cruiser at Sportcraft Marina

I recently admitted to myself and family my ability to enjoy our C-dory to the fullest is limited by my progressing changes with PD. I have taken the boat, Lobo, to Sportcraft Marina in Milwaukie, OR. I know people stop by, as I did when I was looking for my C-dory, to see what's out there. I...

Does anyone use a Scotty 30" Depth Thrower Downrigger?

I kept my Scotty electric downrigger when I sold my Arima and I'm just now looking at trying to mount it on my CD22. It looks like there is no good place to put it. I thought someone out there faced this problem in the past and may be able to help. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Launch bow anchor from stern

I use the windlass most often but I also use a Columbia River style anchor with orange ball at times. The method I use requires a long bow line able to be tied off on the aft cleat. A pulley with a caribiner attached goes on the line before tieing off to the aft cleat. The caribiner is attached...

    Lowrance E-60R Fuel Flow w/Garmin 4210

The posts I've read suggest the Garmin fuel flow is not accurate at flows below 1.0GPH so I went with the Lowrance EP-60. My problem is I have a Garmin 4210. I thought NEMA 2000 devices worked on systems manufactured by different companies. Has anyone made Lowrance work with Garmin?

    Fuel flow problem

I've been having fuel problems as previously reported. I thought the problem was the pickup tube sticking to the tank as others have seen. I pulled the fuel pickup tube and found the anti siphon valve stuck closed. Nothing new here but the condition of the plastic pickup tube was alarming. The...

    STARTING ENGINE

Boris, I think your explanation is off. Using E=IR, current or I=E/R then if E goes down current will also go down. Using the power formula P=IE, if the voltage goes down the power in watts also go down. I've seen something similar on my boat but I'm running twin Hondas. The last time I had...

How does this sound to you?

Hi Brent, The cockpit cover is only to keep water out when the boat is moored. The Bimini is only that no windows or zippers.

How does this sound to you?

My son has a friend who does upholstery and marine canvass work. I asked him to quote a cockpit cover and a Bimini with SS hardware. The cockpit cover would use the same slide attachment at the roof as the Bimini. He said he could do it in material called Coast Guard. He said the material...

    Fuel flow problem

I'm having fuel problems that sound very much like the threads I've read about the fuel dip tube being cut orthogonal allowing the tube to become restricted due to it sucking onto the bottom of the tank. The fix apparently is to cut the dip tube at an angle. I thought I'd check mine to see what...

    End of the line?

Thanks for the input guys. I was unaware there is an eye bolt in the rode locker to tie off to. I'm liking this option over the dowel method everyone has there own preferences. How about the drop distance to the locker from the windlass? Is the distance adequate for the CD22 if you use the...

    End of the line?

I'm getting ready to install a Profish 700 and I've been imagining every motion I'll likely be going thru when I actually do it. It's going to be hard for me to drill the 1st hole. I have two questions some one out there knows the answer to. The manufacturer points out the minimum clearance...

    Tell me I'm wrong

I left my transom drain plug out so the water could easily get out without using the bilge pump. Today I was cleaning up the nasty algae and leaves and happened to notice the drain hole. It looks black and feels slimy to the touch. I'm thinking they may have simply drilled a hole thru the...

Thanks for your response Warren. When I read the Air Mar transom mount instruction it recommended the starboard side of the motor. I have trim tabs right in that space. The instruction didn't say you could mount between two engines it stated the starboard side of the motor due to prop...

Thanks all for the welcome and information, we do appreciate it. Yes, we do make wine and find it to be a fun hobby. I like to try new recipes and when we find one we like try to repeat it. Good fruit, cleanliness and process control are key. I have Garmin electronics on order and anxiously...

Hi Everyone, I'm Russ, my wife, Jean, and I just bought a 2008 22' Cruiser. I'm amazed at the volume and impressive content some of you have shared with the group. I can see quite a bit of engineering time went into these projects. Good ole american ingenuity at its best. I see many custom...
