I have had the same problem with S-1000 veering to the right while cruising at about 20 mph. Trolling is also difficult because of the speed with and against the current.

I have twin 50 bigfoots on my CD-22 and have had no problems, they start easy and run quiet. I have been in 18 " of water with out any problem of overheating. Put 93 hrs on them last year and I"m hoping for 293 hrs. this year.

I am also with progressive, my2006 CD-22 insured for $63,000 $366.00 a year. Includes down riggers, rods,tackle and electronics.

I was always told to leave the motors in the down position, the the weight is on the transom. The weight of the motors in the upright position is not good on the transom when the trailer bounces.
