You have got to see this repair job....

Well, uhhmmm my turn.. javascript:emoticon(':disgust')javascript:emoticon('') Drilling a hole on my runabout's bulkhead...right hand on opposite side, giving support. Start drilling procedure - through bulkhead - into index finger. 1/16" drill bit clean through. Felt cold foreign...

Should there be adhesive left behind and most likely, there will be -"GooGone" works pretty good to remove it. Marc

Hey all, Great Canadian invention No.1. Those are called "Robertson". No stripping, no slipping. Sure footing everytime, all the time. Equal to this....is our beer of course... Jazz

    Camper Back Hardware not Stainless

On Canadian navy ships, we use 316 SS for our sonar domes. Nothing else works as good.

Soaring Gas Prices and Possible Gas Theft

Hi all, I would assume there is a tapered spiral wire in the neck, like in automobiles. This prevents hoses from being routed into the tank.

47 ft. Coast Guard Rescue Boat Training at Morrow Bay, CA

Nice looking those 47' Motor Life Boats. Canadian Coast Guard just acquired over a dozen for SAR around the Great Lakes / St. Lawrence River. Submersible ?...pretty well. They are self-righting; should they capsize, they're designed to flip over on their own, and be on their merry way. Marc

    Porta-head in CD16 Angler

Hi all CD 16 Angler owners, From photo albums and details available, it is hard to estimate the amount of available space in area forward of the helm. Is there enough space to fit a portable toilet in there ?. I assume the deck is not flat as well, but that is fixable; what about head room ...

Which is better: 22' cruiser or 25' cruiser?

Only about 10% of architects are artistically competent. And only 2% are great artists. All are trained engineers who can successfully engineer a building (at least usually), but only a few are the elite who can design something that works and at the same time is truly beautiful. Look around...

    Making things level

Hi Warren, Good feedback here. As mentionned above, using something existing as datum is probably the best way to go, i.e. build parallel from those surface (window frame, countertop). Athwartships applies as well, but mind you the relatively wide passageway breaks up the lines when coming in...

Hi all, Do any 16 Cruiser owners have detail photos of the steering console, berth with cushions removed, detail shots of attachment points to hull side and deck, behind steering console, full shots between deck and deckhead of the cuddy area at entrance.... Marc

    Uh Oh!

Been thinking about this. Same is happening in Canada. Fuel is sky-high $6 GAL (hence a 4 stroke 40 HP limit). Loonie is sky high (at par or above US green back), depressed auto sector... That aside, not to dwell on politics; a little story from my part relating to your NYT. Our newspaper...

    Canadian C-D Owners

El and Bill, Thanks for this. This circle is even better. I never knew of that route. Probably best after the shorter one though; having gained cruising experience. My only beef as El mentioned.. "folks are out of the water'....St.Laurence (around the 1000 Islands) is peppered with boaters...

    Canadian C-D Owners

Hi Paul, Well that is exactely what caught my eye. I was just perusing a Boat Trader mag when I flipped a page and said "WHOA" look at this !. Got on the web and checked-out C-Dory. So much the better that they manufacture small boats (16'); all with gorgeous lines. The folks on the west coast...
