I replaced my transom with 2 layers of marine grade plywood.

Just witnessed Dick from PA in Honky Dory pulling into Auke Bay Harbor. You would have been able to add me to the meeting in Tracy Arm as we pulled anchor on Tuesday afternoon.

The boat is ready to be used but far from done. We still need to sand and polish the new gel coat but that can wait for a rainy day.

First Camping Trip on Verlyn

The first animal caught on Verlyn. Not what we were after but a highlight of the trip. The octopus was about 7 feet across when the arms were extended.

For those of us with the Classic's we do not have the room. For those of you with the wider transom it allows the motor to clear transducers and trim tabs.

Has anyone found a great solution for the Classic owners with the high transom? I own the OMC bracket which works but is not built for the 9.9 4 stroke that I was hoping to use. I did purchase the Garlick 71090 (9 inches of travel) but to make it work I would need to put at least a 2 inch...
