1: I am having an issue finding folks on the members list and am wondering if I'm going about it all wrong. If I don't know their login name then I can't seem to be able look them up. With the old site you'd get the entire list of everyone that had ever joined the site which had its own problems but you could search in various ways ie boat name, user name, city etc. I liked that set up but it was also somewhat cumbersome.
2: With the new Members list when you click on it you get various lists of members that have set records for most number of posts, and a whole lot of other categories that to me are meaningless. When I click on a Members list I'd like to see a list of members that show what part of the country they are from, an email address or other way to contact them.
Am I the only one having troubles adjusting to this new platform? Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to navigate this site.
I'll keep trying to figure this site out because its probably me not adjusting to change well.
I know the site managers have done a lot of work in the transition to make the site an improvement from the last one and all their work is appreciated. Obviously there is a lot more to managing a site than I can imagine. So Thank you for your work.

It looks like there may be a fairly simple way to add the entire roster but how to get the list to display properly is another matter. I've been working on it today but without much luck so far. I can get the an All Members link to show up but it is just a list without pagination and seems to be limited to 1801 names with no sort options. That is less the 20% of our total member count but still a whole lot of scrolling.

At least I haven't busted anything yet. This looks like a job for @Da Nag when he gets time. I might need drive north after the holidays and get him to show me some things. Another feature that we should bring back is a signup or group listing for events. That should be easy too but setting it up and adding a front page link might need some code junk that is above my grade.

Thanks TyBoo. I appreciate all the work you and Da Nag do to make this work. Hopefully it won't be too much effort to get a location in there somewhere. I noticed on some folks posts that under the circle with their last initial in it that there is info on that person and in some cases it includes a city. In my case it does not include the city, only; Joined Mar 25, 2009; Messages 218; Reaction score 4; C Dory Year 2007; C Dory Model 25 Cruise; Vessel Name Sea Witch. So that is unusual that the city didn't populate on everyones info. Anyway thanks again.

If you click on your name in the top banner, then Account details, you can add your location to your profile. That will get it to show up in the info to the left of your posts and in the avatar drop down. If the member does not include that info (entirely voluntary) it will not show up.
