Salty, the world's smartest boat dog went to the vet last week for "tutoring". This is post doctoral type of education, and what he learned is "I don't want to do that ever again". Due to some I need to lick my wounds issues, we put him in a cone collar. So far he has moved about 3 feet in the last hour.... Poor boy!!

Too funny...our new boy Yogi was just "educated" as well... ;)

He ignored the stitches after a day or so, but initially, we had to cone him up as well. However, we discovered these cones a while back, and keep one on hand. The dogs like them better, since they don't obstruct their vision. And we like them better, since the dog doesn't break everything around them with their "head weapon"...

Bill,

I think a trip to Petsmart or some other supplier is in order. These look like they will really do the job, without having a freaked out pup...

Salty is still standing in the same spot... I finally had mercy and took it off. I goes back on anytime I can't monitor him.

OTOH, if he can get used to it and learn to hold his head up, he'll never miss a biscuit thrown up for him!! :love :dog

Andy the Wonder Dog and I commiserate with him, we've both been "tutored".

He had to wear one of those things, for some reason, they didn't make me wear one. Probably should have, I almost got hit by a car when I sat down in the middle of the road to "tend" to things....
