World power swings back to America

First, I love the idea of migrating from coal and oil toward natural gas on the way to solar. But I do have concerns about the quality of the water in our nation's aquifers from fracking. I've not seen any plan to mitigate the effects as yet.
 
Solar is simply not a viable replacement up here in the Pacific Northwest..and other areas.

Hydro was big here until...

When it comes to energy, there is no free lunch.

I guess some would have us shivering in the dark or paying through the nose to repressive regimes.

Pick yer poison.

There is, however, a difference between free and poisonous. It seems that it's always cheaper to create conditions that are harmful, or poisonous, to humans. I'd just like that lunch to be edible...
