Window Screens

Hello All:

I think it is time to install some window screens - I have seen the home made "jobs" of velcro - I guess they do the job but I am wondering has anyone come across and installed a more custom looking screen?

Sure like to hear about any products you were happy with - The green-heads arrive any day @ the South Jersey Shore.

You might try contacting Diamond Sea-Glaze and seeing if the screens and tracks they put on the new windows can be easily attached to the older ones they made. There doesn't seem to be much difference if the widow size/shape, so maybe it would be a simple thing.

The photo of the snap-on screen that Sea Wolf put in his post is on my boat. I had a similar screen made for the forward hatch and both work very well.

One trick to keep out even the tiniest of no-see-ums is to spray insect repellent on the screens and that works wonders.

My canvas guy can duplicate the screens. If interested, I'll look up his number and you can contact him directly.
