Why we post?

Holy cats! I leave for a few days and come back to find flowers on my doorstep, my cat Buster fattened up on shrimp and Copper River salmon, my place detailed by Brat impurity inspectors, a cold keg of Wildcat Ale on ice and a supermodel waiting with nothing but a smile.

Maybe I was was wrong about you people.

But really, wow. Thanks, friends. I had to wipe a little tear away and close my mouth because I sort of lost touch with where I was. A kind of out of yachty experience.

New Brats: Cat Guy's just some dude in a blue tub toy who will annoy you with leftist leanings and drink your beer when you're not looking. Too, know that Supernerd and some of his playmates miss the big red bull's eye I provide; the delicious, slow softballs I unwittingly serve up for your amusement. Hey, every group needs ribs to poke.

And maybe a quest of gratitude, humility, kindness, love and spiritual growth that Jesus and revered sages through history have extolled really is the answer. I send my best to all of you, and very much value my association.

I must say, that was far better than my Santa experience.

Welcome back, good buddy...we've missed you around here.

I was hanging around the dock at John Wayne one day when I say a blue striped 16 with a canvas camper back pulling in to the fuel dock. Being fairly ne to C-Dorydom, I mossied that way, caught a line, shot a few pix and chatted with Brock. I had seen the name here, and was privileged to meet the Catman. Truly a nice guy with an emaculet boat. As he turned out of JWM and headed for the channel to the Strait, a couple asked what that guy in the little boat was doing. I explained that he had just come from up in the San Juan/Gulf Islands and was heading home to Seattle. They looked at me, incredulously and asked, "Why would he do that in that little thing?" Obviously they didn't know Catman, or his boat. I just said, "Because he can." By then he was making the turn around the spit and was hardly visible anymore.

Good to see you back here once in a while, Brock. The visit was all my pleasure.

Nice sentiment Harvey, and beautifully expressed. For me Brock embodies the best of the Northwest, and exemplifies the Brats golden rule, "Just Be Nice", which appears to be so simple, yet sometimes eludes us.

Morning all

C-Lou has been watching from way afar too - -

Most of the 'old-timers' on this site know that it's been forever since I've taken the time to post. (I've spun off in crazy directions.)
That being said; I am definately turned off by 'off-the wall', political sling-shotting, nonscensical dribble...

The sweet endearing cozy pub was great... nostalgia at it's finest...

Well, well...look what the cat drug in? I feel sorry for that cat (inside joke...ask Nurse Ratchet for the details...)

You know, young lady...perhaps if you blessed us with your presence a little more often, your sweetness might rub off on those of us a little rough around the edges. After all...you have so much to spare.

Of course...if you want to head down the hill and mow my lot, I'll excuse you from C-Brat attendance for another couple days.

I'm much braver around you, from 850 miles away. :P
