Which Boat? The Envelope Please!

It has been an interesting ride. True, if we had ignored him and did not reply to his posts, he would have gone away. Siblings have a way of being a pest - that good old parental advice would have worked too, now and then! "Oh, just ignore him!" I think we were all tiring of the futility of trying to educate the guy. (For $500/hour I might be interested in trying to help him out..... but I think I'd pass. Peace & quite is worth quite a bit.)
It would have been a good experiment to see how long it would have taken until we all just stopped replying!

Has anyone purchased any of his products? I don't really want to send any money his way. But if it had a money back guarantee..... Naa, I don't think I want to know that bad. Glad it is over.

Takin' the boat out tomorrow!!!!
You know we would be glad to keep Otter company if we could! We remember her and her owners rather fondly!

The Otter has been lonely and bored for the last few weeks. She tells me she'd better get her bottom wet tomorrow or else.

Best regards,

With the 27, you could put the Harley in cockpit and, with the right stand and proper rigging, use it to power the boat. Might get you on the water sooner...
NO ONE IS TO TELL DON ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!

To Stewberg: Your welcome on fox-trots any time :thup ain't much yakin goin on there... everyone wanted to be here in the limelight instead, and I got sick of doin a message board of my own anyway :crook If MSN would add just a couple more features, them sites would be awesome!

Sorry bout all the baloney ya put up with here. We don't all judge like this. Go ahead, get a CC, see if I care :xnaughty

I am uneasy reading this thread. I have gotten way more from the C-Brats than I have contributed. Those who have created, maintained, and sustain this site have my respect and thanks. I like my C-Dory, but I love the package (the boat, the C-Brats, and the people I have met on and through the site).

Catman,

Just my $0.02. I come to this and the other site for info and to enjoy the camaradrie. After coming to Florida, I saw a picture of a 22 CD cruiser. We went to see it at a craft -boat show. My wife also really liked it. We joined a boat club to get some boating experience. I love to explore, gunk hole, and fish. I like to stay close to shore. Any boat is a compromise. That has been made very clear on these sites. We are close to buying a boat. We still need time to use it. I have looked at many sites, but the CD meets my criteria. They are all good boats. I like to make my own decisions, without having someone force their ideas and snide remarks down my throat. Hopefully we will be able to come to the SBS. Maybe we'll see you there.

Dave :smiled

Dave, lemme say this: I so agree! I love to cruise close to shore, gulkhole, and explore. And I'm not kidding when I say that. I can bore even the most patient Brat with my slow cruising style. Hey! What's that bird over there...

If you're right ready to buy a C-Dory, yes! Smart choice. Where do you cruise in Florida?

I didn't think Stewberg tried to force us to ingest anything more than we might have reasonably been expected to handle.

Just returned from a hunting trip and could not put the "mouse" down once I started this thread.
Mr. Struberg's motives for his persistence in this article are questionable, and he is confrontational to say the least, acting like a novice at times, seeking boating information, and as a expert on other points. Something does not smell right in this area.
He is not my kind of person, and would not fit in well on the "Chica". I want to stand and be counted with the "Ban the Berg " group.
My stance on a few other "important" issues. I'm a redneck from Montana and a card carrying NRA member. I drive a Dodge diesel truck and would own a Harley, if I had a motorcycle. I'm alittle to the right of Barry Goldwater and a supporter of Ollie North, a Boston Red Socks fan, and an Ohio State Buckeye booster.

I stopped reading this post a few days ago because of all the b.s. from both sides And that is what anyone that did not like struberg should have done. Without an attendance he would have simply gone awayor just posted about his boat and what he wanted to do with it. It’s like turning the channel if you don’t like what’s on. Banning him or anyone else from an open site is wrong. I really love this site but what is next ...book burnings?

As far as the "I am " posts, I am a free American, and with the web that is not even a requirement. We have people on this site from all over the spectrum of American life, and from other countries. From both political parties, a range of religious beliefs, and different life styles. There is room here for everyone that shares the love of our unique style of boating and I hope it stays that way.

As far as football teams, Collage sports are a waste of money that could be used to keep our children up to pace with India and china. If you want your kids to play ball pay for it your selves and stop wasting my tax money. And no the collages do not make near the money they spend on sports. If your kids need a challenge have them join the marines.

ok heres my answer to bikes, and I have had a few. Go fast buy kawasaki.. go slow and look at the world buy harely.. go kind of fast and never brake down buy honda gold wing. 1 million plus built in america.

Fishtales, its finally makes sense.. Bakersfield......
:crook

My brother lived in bakersfield for a few years and I was stationed at 29 palms at the time. I would run over and play golf with pat or go fishing up the hill. I would like to say I liked the place but compared to the the tahoe area... well its just not up there on my list . In fact It takes being stationed at 29 palms to get a person to even consider going to bakersfield.. :embarrased

I really love this site but what is next ...book burnings?

That is an insult. This is indeed a free and open site, Tom. To everyone except Bill and me. There is a new feature coming very soon. Thanks for volunteering to be a Moderator.

Mike

Catman,
We cruise out of the Maderia Beach marina and go up & down the ICW. Unfortunately, the boats we have available are all heavy deep V hulls, so we have to stay in reasonably deep water. We just enjoy sightseeing and watching for the dolphins.
The boat we have decided on is the same size as yours, but we will get the cruiser model. Easy to tow to different places and can just run it up on shore.

Goodness gracious!!

28,389 posts and 1 ban. And that's a step toward book burning? Get a life. Mike and Bill, ya done an unbelievably great job in running my favorite site on the web.
