Where's Joe?

Anybody know if Joe of the Sea wolf is OK?
He has never been this quite this long. The last time I heard from him was at the Factory Party and that was five days ago.
Did he make it home?

Where’s Joe?

ya, where the hell is Joe...you don't suppose he got lost in Seattle and has been orbiting the city just looking for a way out?

I'll tell you where the HELL I've been since last Tuesday morning when I got back from Seattle....in the HOSPITAL with APPENDICITIS!!!

Not much fun, unfortunately, but I'm out now and back on line!

Was great meeting so many of you at the Convention/Boat Show/Factory Party!

Will be spending the next couple of days reading through the 648 posts since I left for Seattle. Will comment only when something really needs to be added, from my point of view.

GLAD TO BE BACK!!!

GO SEAHAWKS!

Joe.

Well we're glad to have you back, Joe. Do we have all of you back, or did they keep part of you at the hospital? Look at the bright side - If you have any insurance at all, appendicitis is a whole lot cheaper than threefootitis.

Best thoughts for you as you recover.

Mike

Glad to hear you are back in battery Joe. That's not something you want to happen but at least you were close to good medical care.

Good to meet you in Seattle last weekend.

Welcome back Joe.

It was a pleasure meeting you at the Factory Party.
I was actually starting to get concerned about you. However, I am glad you are OK and back now.

I way I figure it, there are only 647 posts that need your input, that is provided you manage to keep up on the current post.

Glad to see ya back Joe!!! I will stop crying about being sick with the flu or distemper or what ever it was/is. The flight home sucked feeling like that, but after about 5 days of 13-15 hrs a day rest, two bottle of nyquil, countless throat bullets, hacking like a cat with large hair balls..... I feel YOUNG again.. Hummm... might as well go stay on the boat a night or two. It has been about a month since I have been on her.... That is more than likely what got me ill.

WELCOME BACK JOE!!

Byrdman

Byrdman,

Sounds like a summary of my first week in Hawaii. I could not have put it more eloquently. I do prefer hacking furballs to Joe's appendicitis.

C-Brats-

Thanks for all your well wishes and questions. It's great to be back!

I took the train to Seattle because I'd pulled a groin muscle in the boat a few weeks before..... a good choice in perspective.

The appendicitis onset became noticeable in Klamath Falls, and by the time we got to Redding, I went home, stayed for 45 minutes, and told my wife we were going to the hospital.

After the operation, they told me my heart had an arrythma- the auricles weren't in synch with the ventricles, and needed to be Zapped into Holy Synchronization. Unfortunately, not enough brain deadener was used (shouldn't take much for me, you know!), and I felt the full 200+ volts go through my body like a lightenbing bolt. They also decided to reduce my blood pressure to more normal levels a the same time.

All and all, it was a "Great Adventure", but now I'm homeand much more comfortable in my own home.

Thanks for your perseverance in induring my tale of woe! Joe.

Joe,

Glad to hear you're on the mend after all that. Most of us just have a slight headache or some minor indigestion after a C-Brat gathering and not even the triple whammy of Boat Show, C-Brats, and a Factory Luau has caused this much discomfort.

Wow, didn't know folks did that on purpose (Zap I mean  ). I did it by accident while up on a ladder taking off our old kitchen fan last week. Sure was exciting.

Was great to meet you at the SBS Joe, glad you're back in battery once again, take care of yourself!

I'm about to go in to get a cataract (or two or three??) taken out of my right eye tomorrow AM and get a lens implanted at the same time. Then the left eye two weeks after that...

I'll be seeing all of you soon (I fervently hope!) My dog isn't big enough for the guide dog role, nor smart enough probably.

Charlie

Charlie.... will keep ya in my prayers Brother. Let me know how it goes. I hate glasses....they are a real pain when trying to see the front of the boat, the maps on the table, the "fenders" of the boats when anchored out... Sometimes I forget if I am putting my glasses on or taking them off...and once that is figured out...hell, I have forgotten just what it was I was changing to look at anyway.

Good luck and make sure they have all their parts on the table prior to them starting any work.

Charlie-

Good luck with the operation! Was great meeting you this year at the show! I hope we can do it again next year. Thanks for the thoughts! Joe.

Best for you, Charlie.

Does this mean that between tomorrow an two weeks later we could be seeing some typos in your posts?

Joe -

Holy Synchronization is right! Kind of spooky to have all that at once. You sure they weren't just trying to make some extra money for the hospital? Or maybe doing some intern training?

Was that heart trouble brought on by the surgery, or was it a lucky find?

Hope the both of you do well. We need our older wise ones to keep the younger wiseacres in line.
