I posted this link to test your connection speed on the "is the site slow?" thread.

I thought it might be of interest to see which ISP's provide the best service to fellow Brats.
While I'm connecting at home and at work with Comcast, the systems were built by two predecessor cable operators ATT & Adelphia.
On the former Adelphia system at mid day I get a blazing 7.3 MB down and 1.6 MB up testing to the NYC server. It's a bit slower out to Seattle - 5.2 and 1.4. I pay about $54 per month for this service.
On a good day at the house I'm lucky to get 3 MB down and I'm paying about $40 for the internet part of the digital cable bill.
I also pay on a Verizon DSL line at the airport. My manager just completed the test and came up with .749 MB Down and .138 MB UP!!
I pay $64 for the phone line and the DSL connection which goes with it.
Pardon me while I call Verizon for a refund.
Phil
