What is the worst thing that has happened to your C-Dory?

Wow Steve :? , time for a new engine, although I know it wasn't that old;. Sorry for the problem  . Haven't had a worst thing yet, hope I don't!! Time to check out the liability policy at the marina!! Maybe a free year of storage after the engine gets fixed/replaced!!

The service department has already torn the engine down and ordered all the parts and pieces to repair the damage. The real test will be when it goes in the water and we see if there is a vibration or noise.

I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Steve, get some sort of extended warranty if they sold you the engine in the first place, or even if they didn't!! May be a blessing, rather than a curse although, you might remind them that they have kept you from using the boat and they need to provide you some additonal compensation like some free service perks....

Worst thing that happened to the Otter: I traveled overseas for four weeks and had a lot to do when I got back. She went 7 weeks without dipping her bottom in the water. She was furious with me.

At Sequim Bay last year (John Wayne Marina parking lot), some sleaze ball stole the bow stop off our trailer. Sooo...when we came back from a wonderful CBGT (aren't they all?) on Sunday afternoon, needing to drive back to Fall City, we TRIED padding it up with everything we can think of, cinched her up and took off...in retrospect, the best thing to stuff in there would have been a fender, but that did not occur to us. Long and short, the vibration tore everything up, the boat suffered major gelcoat damage which it cost us a bundle to fix. That is of course the good thing about fiberglass - the C-Dory guys made it good as new. But we were pretty depressed at the time...
