Went to the Baltimore Boat Show today - yesterday by now

So we went to the show today and talked to Mark Mansfield who was quite
knowledgeable about the Rangers they had there, but also had some info about the C-Dory.
I am just reporting what he said, however he stated that the C-Dory plant lost their financing and had shut down.
Is this true? Any of you west coast folks heard anything about this?
Evidently, Ranger is still owned by Fluid Motion and C-Dory who was bought by Sea Sport - I may not have this correct, was a separately financed operation.
BTW, the Rangers are very nice boats and makes me want to think about Banjo- - Tom's boat.
Where is the link to the Ranger forum?
Just reporting.

Except for a short lived collaboration on what they called the C-Ranger tugs, there was never any connection between C-Dory (Fluid Marine) and Ranger (Fluid Motion). SeaSport did, in fact, buy most of the assets of Fluid Marine, including the molds for the C-Dory line and the name. The 2010 and beyond C-Dorys will be built by SeaSport in Bellingham, WA.

There are still a whole bunch of the Ranger owners active here because we like having them around and we really think highly of Jeff Messmer who left C-Dory to work with the Ranger folks. The Ranger owner's group site is TugNuts, and the link to it is on the front page of our site in lower left corner. The link to the Ranger factory is also there.

Good luck fighting the urge you seem to be afflicted with!!

Look real close and you can hear Free Bird by Skynard playing a bit loud on FreeByrd in the background, one 15 degree night on beautiful Lake Martin.
