Wanted: Lowrance LGC-1 GPS antenna

You may have a problem finding a LGC 1. Lowrance is now on the LGC 4000 (the 1 was the same as the 1000, I believe) I have a Global map 3300C on which the antenna gave up (a known problem)--the LGC 2000 and 3000 will work on the Global Map 3300---you might want to check to see if it works on the global map 1000 by calling Lowrance if you have not already done this.

Your 1000 was one of the very early black and white Lowrance five channel GPS from the early 90's. Although this is a legacy product, and the specs and manuals are still at: http://www.lowrance.com/en/Products/Legacy-Products/, no accessories are available, including the antenna. I suspect that you will be better off buying a last years GPS in color, which will be far more accurate in position, and mapping.

Good luck in your search--check E-bay, but be sure that the antenna works--since they are known to fail.

Hi Bob, thank you for your reply, i have contacted Lowrance and they could not help, they also informed me that after the LGC-1 antenna, they went from 5 channel GPS to 12 channel which you also touched on. thanks for the heads up, have tried eBay & Craiglist, and will keep looking for awhile before i give up and purchase a new GPS, it's just the Scotchman in me, which i got from my Grandpa. Thanks again.
