Walking boat

The video is clearly a time lapse. I wonder how long it actually takes to do that and how much operator involvement is required.

And here I always avoid getting stranded on the beach. Is the purpose to tease the tides? Not get one boot wet? Spend $5K for nothing? Seems like a clumsy way to clean the bottom. What am I missing?

If you have some kind of landing craft you want to off load or perhaps want to drive a forklift on to offload bins of fish, it might be useful. I just thought it was kind of cool.

If you land on a shore with some incoming wave action, those spikes would hold the boat in position while you unload or go about other business. Otherwise, you are fighting the waves to keep the boat from pounding the shore eventually broadside as boats like to turn against a shore. The heavier the boat, the more useful it would be, and the two spikes would be key.

Mark, I think you missed the Quad he unloaded with 6 bags of concrete on, to haul half mile up through the woods from the beach

Looks like a slick idea for the island taxi's. Great for stabilizing the boat on the beach even if you don't need it all the way up. Night help if you beached on a high tide too.

I'm disabled and I use a davit to get my scooter on and off my 16 cruiser, if money were no object this would be like James Bond siding my scooter on and off the boat.
