folks;
Sometimes back I saw a photo of a C-Dory with a couple of vinyl posts which were mounted on the cabin racks of a Dory which were designed to store rods etc. I have searched the forums but have not been not been able to locate this reference. Can someone help me find this posting as I need some more info to mount and complete a similar storage setup.
Thanks much!

I've built a pvc roof rack that i have attached a rod holder too. There is a picture in my album of the roof rack before the rod holder attachment. All i used was a plastic three tube holder and clamped it to the side of the rack with an angle bracket for reinforcement. The rack has also been extended another foot on either side of the one in my photos. Very handy for those extended cruises to help get all those extras up out of the way. Hope this helps you.

Thanks for your help, but the photo I am looking for is one of a stainless fabricated rack and two square white vinyl posts mounted on either side of the rack.

Look at Capt D's old Hunky Dory album, I am now the owner. SS roof rack with a center pin seat mount in the center and two 5" plastic square fence posts mounted horizontally on each side. I didn't get the posts with the boat so purchased my own, cut them off at 7'-2", glued on a permanent cap on the front and pinned a loose cap on the back. It will hold 7' rods and I keep at least one fender board in there.The square tubes are held on with large 4 SS hose clamps. The rack is made of thin wall 304 SS and is not nearly as heavy as you might think, also the radar,AM/FM radio antenna, Hailer horn and radar reflecter all mount on the rack.

Yes, that is the photos I am looking for. I checked the photo albums and could find the photos you mentioned.

Thanks Joe!
Just the photos I was looking for. Now I need to devise a hinge and lock for the one end cap.
