Verizon Deal Act Now

I guess I am not understanding this. I currently have three iPhones each with unlimited talk and text sharing 8GB of data. This is $40 per line and $90 for the access, total $210 a month. I logged on to MyVerizon, and it tells me that my current plan is no longer available. The only options I see are to go to a lower cap, I think 6 GB is the highest. It says if I change plans I will not be able to go back to my current plan. I certainly did regret when I gave up the grandfathered unlimited data to go to the Share Everything plan with a data cap, since we were never anywhere near our minute cap for talk on the old plan, but the free hot spot was enticing. But what I see as the only really valuable aspect of any plan now is the amount of data you are allowed to use, and I sure don't want to go backward on that. What am I missing?

Pat, The share everything data bundle at 8gb is still there along with bigger plans up to 20gb. The price for 8gb is now 85 bucks. Mine was 6 but they have a "new" 6gb plan for 10 bucks less than I was paying. So I switched online to the new lower "plan". It did not extend my contact.

I had a 4gb plan and now have a 6gb plan for the same $'s. They also didn't extend my contract. I think the "your current plan is no longer available" language is just trying to tell you that the plan you are on (with the more expensive pricing/gb) is no longer available. Then you have the option to pick the same amount of data for lower, more data for the same price or even more/lesss for less than what it would have cost previously.

Watch out fo date throttling (cutting back the speed0. I AM DOWN on Verizon. I went to the store, and presented my issue with the MiFi ($90 a moht for 10 G), where the unit woriked fine with my mac (sloow speed, with 2 bars) but when in 5 bar area, it would not couple with the Mac boook--(but ddoes with the I pad (which I am using now). Verizon solution: spend another $ 200 to get a new MiMi. he people in the store had no idea how to even turn on my MiFi unit, let aloe connect it.

I tried the my verizon site and couldn't make heads or tails. Had the same understanding, my plan no longer existed. So I called them. Got a guy on the line that changed my plan to a lower cost, plus said since I was using a standard phone they knocked off another 10 bucks. This worked out well, and took less than 2 minutes to complete. Thanks for the tip.

I was finally able to change through the online chat...the Verizon website has NO customer service phone number that I could find anywhere...went from $90 for the 8 GB to $85. Guess I can now buy an extra mocha every month!

FYI, if you ever want to find the number and shortcuts to talk with an actual person, try the gethuman app. Works for almost any company or you can go to the website too: http://gethuman.com/phone-number/Verizon-Wireless/

Looks like Verizon got the message.

Checked our account today and they say they are automatically reducing by $10/m from Feb so didn't need to call the little man in Timbuktu
