Some pretty impressive "Avalanche Pics" on the Richardson Hwy,leading into Valdez, Alaska and Prince William Sound. Highway is closed indefinitely from 12 mile to about 60 miles out of Valdez. Keystone
Canyon is spectacular. Pics can be accessed by going to The Anchorage newspaper
at " www.adn.com ".
 
Good post with site to click. We have seen some photos on t.v news. Strong memories of numerous drives over this route and our geologic eyes noting the scars of former landslides -- so no surprise for us to hear about the big ones this year, but tough for the folks living there and for the state budget to repair.
 
As someone thats familiar with Keystone Canyon a big worry is what condition the road is going to be in when they
do get it cleared. Probably won't get the final word on that until after the spring breakup.
