ultimate manly man fishing trip

Who's with me? I'm going to set up the ultimate manly man fishing trip. Here's the plan, early in the am we mount up and leave Ilwaco on our stand up paddle boards during max ebb. We point our boards out for the open ocean and head to Astoria Canyon where we go noodling for Halibut. To finish off the day we can troll for salmon and catch the bar at max ebb again for the return trip to the marina.....I wonder how many crab pots you could stack on one of those stand up boards?

awsome video, clever editing me also thinks. Chromer, May not have room for a compass if one takes the required manly beer ration....besides, a person wouldn't really need a compass if they had a three wolf shirt on

If you had a three wolf shirt on, you wouldn't have time for such nonsense as fishing or paddle boarding, since your body would already be baited and the chicks (and I ain't referring to the hen variety) would be all over you.....

I f you have to wear a Three Wolf just to be able to noodle for halibut, you got no business being out there.

Well I knew about that kinda catfish noodling but I was wondering if the halibut reference was a take-off on it; a sort of "slang". I obviously know nothing about halibut fishing, as we discussed Tom. This just re-enforces my lack of experience.

By the way, I've tried catfish once. DON'T CARE FOR IT, so it can stay in the middle/south of the country as far as I'm concerned. The idea of going into water where I can't see 1" due to the dirt/muck etc, feeling around for whatever is there and then WANTING it to bite me is NOT my idea of "fun".

The best cat fish in the world comes from clear cold lakes in the sierras. The meat is white as paper and not brown like in rivers and water lakes. Little grass valley lake is full of them. We would fish for trout all day and then come back to the shore after dark for the cats. All about 2 lbs and tasty. I have not found any around here yet.

hell guys, we could be the first to go halibut noodling, maybe get some Ling Cod too.....how long can you hold your breath?
