I trust the mechanic telling me this. He's got no incentive to steer me in this direction, since they don't sell engines at all. But we're looking at $3k easy to get the old 2004 Johnson (Suzuki) 90 running. With every expectation that we'll discover things along the way that need attention now, or in the very near future.
For those of you who aren't familiar with Two Lucky Fish +1, she's a 2004 22 Cruiser. Gelcoat looking pretty rough, but as far as I'm aware the hull is solid.
So. Yamaha 90? Waypoint Marine in Ballard? That's what I'm thinking right now. Appreciate any feedback/advice.
