Twin engine 25 / 26 prop size

We have a customer building a 25' boat that has a hull shape similar to the C-Dory 25, but a bit deeper V. He intends to power the boat with Twin 90 E-Tecs, and I need to make an educated guess as to prop size.

What are owners of 25 / 26 C-Dory's running as props? What engines size?

One 25 I rigged with twin 90 Optimax Mercs needed 17s to prop out right. I don't know the E-tecs gear ratio, but I bet it is not far off from the Opti. I first tried 15s like we used on the Honda 90s, but she hit the rev limiters quick! The performance was way better than the carbureted Honda 90, but the trade of was more vibration at idle. Definitely not as smooth and quiet. Hope that helps.

That gives us a starting point.

Evinrude's Boat SHow promotion is 5 year protection plan PLUS 25% discount on rigging parts on repowers, so we need to order the props with the rest of the package to get the discount.

Just want to get the right one's first time.
