Truck & trailer storage on Florida's east coast

Toni and I heading to the east coast to spend the summer cruising. We hope to make a Bahama crossing if the weather permits and cruise the intracoastal waterway north. We would like to find secure long term parking for our truck and trailer at a good "jump off" point on Florida's east coast. Any help from previous experience will be appreciated.

There is a great little boatyard that caters to boaters needing seasonal as well as temporary storage of boats and trailers. Its located at Indiantown, along the Saint Lucie Canal (aka cross-Florida waterway) just west of the Stuart inlet. Its a bit of a run to get to the inlet but well worth the time as security is good and cost reasonable. Can't remember the business name but it should not be a problem locating them on Internet. Have fun!

When are you coming out this way are you going on the Carolina loop or Chesapeake gathering?? We are still trying to put our summer plans together . Jim and Loree

Thanks for the information. We hope to be on the water sometime next week. We would like to make some of the gatherings along the coast but we have a heck of time with schedules, we kinda take things one day at a time and see things along the way. Our plan is to go north until the end of July then rent a car one way back to the truck and trailer, retrieve the boat, then head cross country back to the northwest.

Ask at the Indiantown Marina if they do not store they probably know of a place.

A lot further from the coast we have left our trailer and van for 4 weeks at the public launch area at LaBelle on the ICW it is just across the river from the free LaBelle free public dock. We have never had a problem at this area.
We do tell the operater of the bait shop how long we will be gone. I think he informs the police of our intentions so they do not send out the search party. HAVE FUN
