Trailer Recommendation for 25' C-Dory

I am first time owner of a 2006 25 cruiser looking for some recommendations regarding the purchase of a trailer (new or used). At this time the trailer will only be used to pull the boat out ahead of oncoming hurricanes. Fortunately, I am only about 1/2 of a mile from a neighbor's boat ramp. My 2003 GMC Sierra 4WD has a pulling capacity of 9500 lbs (does not include vehicle weight) which I understand is about at capacity for a loaded boat and trailer. At this time there are no plans for trailing the boat to distant locations. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
 
Probably a 7500 lb capacity trailer would be the miminum--tandem axel--have to have brakes on at least one Axel (not sure about VA laws)--and your truck could pull it easily the short distances.
 
Mickey and Beth, come see us! We're in Heathsville, about 20 miles away. Have two different trailers, both for TomCats though, not 25's but I do know of a 25 or two near here which you could look at for trailer types. I'll PM you my phone number and address. Glad to have you in the area!
