My boat is coming off the trailer for it's anti-foul paint job. This will be a good time to check the positioning of my new bunk guides. When the boat is placed back on the trailer, lined up and dead center, how close should the bunk guides be to the side of the boat? Should they cosy up snug, maybe a one inch gap, or a more or lesser gap?

Martin.

Hi Martin, asked the same question a few years ago. 1/2" - 3/4" gap is good. You want the bunks tight enough to do the job, yet not rub due to vibration when trailering.
