255 Tomcat

For those interested, the USCG accepted the Tomcat as a 7 GT vessel.

This was based on the Simple Gross Tonnage Calculation form. I submitted the builder's certificate (which incorrectly reads 25'5" considering the positive floatation Armstrong bracket), schematics of the Armstrong bracket, and a picture of the at-rest waterline.

I used the following measurements:

length 27'5"
beam 8'6"
depth 3'9"

I have a link to the USCG "Simple Gross Tonnage Form" and Instructions on my website:

An important distinction per the instructions is that a cat that presents with any floatation from the wing deck does not constitute a "twin hull vessel" (they also provide example diagrams).
