TomCat fuel fill grounding

I just had a survey done on a 2008 TomCat, one item of concern is the fuel fill ground, port had high resistance (most likely corrosion in wire) and starboard was open (not grounded). Both tank ground check out good. The boat is quite far from me and after the purchase is final, I would like to use the boat for a few days before I take it home. I would like to be as prepare as possible to make all the fix and repair needed before I splash it next. Anyone knows where/how the fuel fill is grounded and how to access.

On my 25, with two fuel fills, one on each side of the boat, there are wires attached near the fuel fill cap, that run to a stud on the aluminum fuel tank. Then another wire runs from the stud to a negative post wired to the battery. Those grounding wires from the fuel fill cap area, are not easily accessible. I'm not sure what it would be like on a tomcat.

I think it was like 12 gauge. Nothing real heavy. BTW, I believe, if I can remember, the wires were attached to a screw at the fuel fill. Or they may have been attached to one of the machine screws mounting the fuel fill to the gunnel. Just looked at some older photos I had. The two wires coming down from the fuel fill neck were attached to the fuel tank stud I mentioned earlier. That stud then had a wire running from it to the fuel gauge sender. And then the sender (from another point) had a wire going to the battery negative grounding stud.

Not the best photos, but if you can zoom in on them, you can see the wires attached at the tank.

I couldn't find any photos of the fuel fill to show how the wires are attached.
 
Thanks, Appreciate it. I'm use to have my boat in the driveway and can go check on anything at a moments notice. Kind of hard to have a boat an airplane ride away. But it will soon be here and I'm very excited about it
