A non-boater friend was aboard our boat last Summer and commented on the lack of a backrest on the rear seat. He and Janet brain-stormed and came up with the idea of a canvas backrest fastened around the existing stanchions with snaps. Here's the first rendition. It seems comfortable enough but not wide enough to accomodate two people.

Roger, a simple way to accomodate two people without having to do any further modifications, would be for you to sit there and have Janet seated on your lap. :lol:

...only other solution I could think of would be Marine Ply/Starboard covered in foam & Sunbrella and mounted w/ the white plastic removable mounts like I have on my table. :idea It could be wider and padded. Just a thought.
