Thin Aluminum Skin Hull Repair

Does anyone know of a company in the Puget Sound area that repairs damaged hulls on thin skin aluminum boats such as Lunds? It will probably require removal and replacement of the transom and some repairs on the bottom of the hull. It will also involve removal and reinstallation of interior seats and liners.

This is covered by insurance so we're not just looking for a patch job.

Thanks

Wow!

Lots of work to be done!

If it were me, I'd

1.) get some quality repair estimates, and then

2.) try to settle with the insurance company, and then

3.) just buy another used boat,

*unless there's some sentimental attachment to the one you have.

The replacement boat would probably have a greater resale value in the long run, too, without all the repair work.

Just my 2 cents..................

I agree. I have an Alumaweld. Being an aluminum plate boat, that amount of damage on my boat would relegate it to the scrap heap.
Take the money and run.
