Thinking about those hot days at Lake Powell, and how good a really nice beer tastes after a swim. I am wondering if there is a good tasty micro brew in a can.

Storage is always an issue on our boat, so both full and empty bottles are a bit of a hassle. Any recommendations? Are there any good micro brews (Pale Ale) in a can?

Hilliard's Brewing from the Ballard area of Seattle cans all of their craft beers. Some of them are very nice. Even their Beer glasses are shaped like a can and inscribed "One Refillable Pint"

lots of the micro brewers are getting into cans. Kona brewing company has started canning some of their beers and i'm a fan. Whole foods has a pretty good selection.

Hopworks Urban Brewery (HUB) in Portland cans all their beers. I've tasted several and they're pretty good.

7 Seas brewery in Gig Harbor, Wa, cans all of their's, also.

It's becoming much more economically viable, as well as enviromentally responsible, for breweries to can instead of bottle.

I started snooping around the local market (bypassing the Mirror Pond), and found quite a few. So far, I've found two that were quite good, one ok, and one that I didn't care for

Caldera Pale Ale (Bend) - very good
Southern Oregon Brewing (Medford) Nice Rack IPA - very good
Hop Valley 541 American Lager (Eugene) - ok
Good Life Sweet As! Pacific Ale (Bend) - weird taste

Thanks for your input.

Research will continue!
