I never said nothin' about trusting you! But the second part is acurate. You're on your own with the third part.
 
after working a few days in a row pushing concrete around to cover all the plumbing in the new bbq plant.. i know why I stay away from that manyual labor stuff.... hope to spend some down time on FreeByrd this weekend eating Motrin 800s and enjoying a beverage. The plant has been warm...hot...this week with temps pushing 105-115 inside...and the humidity always in the 85-90% range. Looking forward to getting in the cab of my truck, turning the ac on about 70 and heading down the highway towards home/my boat

New girlfriend (for the next month) was born in the south... she has made a correction to my pronunciatin "hoe" or "ho" (hole) One of my favorite mimics is mimikin that deep south accent. I guess the correct way to say hole is actually "ho-wo" :xnaughty :xlol super funny :lol: well at least i think so anyway :teeth
one on the house fer ya Byrdman :beer and I wish I could get a tasta them ribs there talkin about here :smilep
 
Thanks Mike for starting this thread. Nice to have a place to go to when the need comes to just ramble on about something. And you, Catman...we were sure hoping to see you at Langley...so maybe Sequim? and thanks for the 'cool' comment about Joe's bulkhead. Mike, will you be able to make it to Sequim?? It'd really be nice to see you and your family again. Meanwhile, we'll be gone for a few days. Attending a memorial in Auburn, CA for Joe's cousin who'd been a pilot during WW2. Thirty-one missions over Germany. Then became a cop in Oakland CA after the war. Old Tom was sure an interesting fellow.

The other day we were putting in at the ramp in Everett. As happens more often than not, someone came over to admire the boat. It occurs to me that I can't talk about C-Dory without talking about the C-Brat site. I guess I just want to say what a joy this site is and has been for me.

Yep, I like this thread too, but the nice thing about this site is that we've been able to "just ramble on about something" on any of these threads anyhow. :crook (Kinda like discussin' C-Dorys over a cup of "Folgers Espresso") :disgust tee hee.
 
Ruth and Joe, for sure I'll see you two at Sequim. Besides, I want to get a close look at your unique new bulkhead. By the way, Joe, did you have a chance to get to know your cousin pretty well? How many guys can say they had 31 missions over Germany?

Marty, I agree. This site has been big fun for hundreds of us. People crave affiliation, and where is connection to be found? In homogeneous clubs, perhaps. Work? Nope. Neighbors? Please. Long time friends? If we're fortunate. It is asserted by people smarter than me that single people, for example, are likely to find love or playmates while engaging in activities they enjoy. Seems we've done just that.
 
Not too mushy for me, dude. Course, I've always been a cuddler-type Cat. (Chicks dig that stuff.)

Catman, Thanks for the comment about the new bulkhead. We're still in what you'd call "under construction" but the rest of the finish up work will wait till winter. About Cousin Tom: He was twenty years older than Joe but we got to know him quite well these past forty some years. He attended some of our family events and made sure that the kids got graduation and wedding gifts, etc. As for the memorial service, it was quite awesome. Apparently Tom had kept a list of all his missions that he flew; when and where the number of bombs that were dropped. The old paperwork was so frail that one of his stepdaughters had it copied so it could be displayed. The Honor Guard from Beale AFB came, Taps were played and the flag presented to the widow. Joe had been in the Honor Guard when he was in the Army so the event was not new to him but I'd never seen it before (in person). A day to remember, that's for sure.
