Anyone want a free Teleflex Cable steering system for a 22' C-Dory? You pay the shipping and I will give it to you free. It weighs about 20#. I live in Anchorage, Alaska.

Was cleaning out the shed and came across it. Had replaced the cable steering system a few years ago with a hydraulic system. Now I am looking for good home for the cable system rather than pitching it in the dump.

Hope someone can make use of it.

You know what - I have one sitting in my shed too. I removed it from my former boat - 19' cuddy cabin 3 years ago. I thought the rack/cable system was bad but it turned out to be the outdrive itself. The last time I tested it stilled moved freely through the entire range.

I forget the model number but have a picture on my work computer and will also give for free if anyone wants it.

I need to trade up to a 22' so I can have free steering cables for life!

With the plethora of sudden realizations of cables sitting in sheds, I seem to have been confused as to which of you I was communicating with. It seems as though one is headed my direction from dotnmarti. But thank you for replying to me. -Dan
