Swim Platform

I am interested in adding a swim platform to the transom of my C-22. I have twin engines and trim tabs. I think this is possible. I recall seeing one on C-Cakes at Guttenberg this year, but I didn't get into the details with Barry at that time. I like the platform with the ladder steps that hang down below the fixed platform. I wonder about the brackets though, you usually can't see them on a boat in the water.
Can anyone tell me what platforms will fit?

Bruce, I used one like this with teak because my boat is an old one with the teak handrails. You can get also get them with white starboard that goes better with the newer boats.
It mounted easily and is very sturdy.

Bruce, in order to make locating my album easier to find, I'll chime in here. Just click on Sea Shift highlighted in blue to the left of this posting and you'll see the pix that Don is referring to. (Pix are located at the bottom of page 2 of the album) Les at EQ Marine "fabbed" this swim step up for us.

Bruce, I just viewed Barry's album of C-Cakes and he has some good pictures of his swim step as well. I noticed that his swim step ladder has 2 rungs whereas mine has one. I've used mine and it works fine, however 2 rungs would make boarding easier.

Hi,

Our swim step was fabricated by Les at EQ and has served us well. It is plenty strong and is out of the way. I would make one change, and put a small radius, maybe 3/4" on the outboard corners as ours has contacted the port engine a couple of times and scratched the paint. Be sure the attaching hardware is good quality stainless, after 6 years our bolts are showing a little corrosion.
