suv, + rv + boat = bad news!

last thursdays evening, linda and i were traveling south on interstate 75. heading for the campbell palatial lake home estate, at the beautiful lake cumberland.
just slightly north of exit 62, traffic was slowing and in the medium was a large suv on it's side, attached to it was an rv on it's side and yet attached to that was a boat trailer. the boat was flipped on it's top, off of the trailer.
an educated guess would be, lake cumberland bound.
the large lake cumberland poker run was held this past weekend and as such, boaters come from all over and boat values range from 25k to well over 500k. mostly all go fast types. well, the race didn't go so well, a catamaran hit a wave and flipped, killing the owner/operator and injuring his firstmate. race was cancelled shortly after that accident.
if one could learn anything from the above, it might be, slow down and things get better!

Hi Pat,
That would be bad to loose all of your Toys in one accident, i hope that no one was injured. Sorry to hear about the Lake accident. We had a bad one on Smith Mountain Lake about 2 years ago.
We all need to be as careful as we can, and understand how quick something bad can happen.

good to hear from you guys. hope all is well and also look forward to hearing about the up coming nc get together.
not sure if anyone was injured during the suv accident. did look like they were tossed about a little.
it's been a very good boating summer for linda and me. our next trip is the sept 26 with the four seasons yacht club. not going far but will be with a great group of people. total miles somewhere around 100. august we went for a 110 mile trip on the ohio river. used less than 22 gallons of fuel. other boats used 300 gallons. got to love the c-dory!
