I just broke a blade on my Propoller for a Honda 75. Any suggestions on size, best places to buy? I have never changed one out. I'm assuming their is a unique wrench for this, but not sure. Input would be appreciated.

OK, getting the prop off is a piece of cake. I see that the prop is marked 16P on the side, presuming that is the pitch. How do you know the diameter or if it has been repitched, is it marked on the prop typically?

Hi Jeff,
I think the most common prop size for the Honda 75 on a 22 Cruiser is 13 3/4 X 15 X 3. That's a diameter of 13 3/4, a pitch of 15, and 3 blades. You can see a prop test for this motor and prop, on your boat here.

A pitch of 16 sounds a bit much to me, but I'm sure others will chime in.

Best of luck!

Mike

Jeff,

If that's a BF75A (carbs) just get the Honda 3-bladed OEM prop (grey aluminum by Solas) in 15" pitch and you'll be good to go (part# 58130-ZW1-015AH).

And carry a spare; just like you would in a car. :-)

I tried the Quick Silver 15 P prop out at Sekiu and was not impressed with the performance. I was only getting above 20 mph on the down hill side of swells. The motor got up to 5800 rpm, but speed varied between 18-20 under normal flat conditions. I took it back to the Prop Shop and tried a 17P yesterday. I was very happy with the speed increase. WOT, 5200 rpm, I got 28mph. 4500 rpm I was getting a comfortable 20 mph. Thanks for the input.
