Hi-

I just purchased a new to me 2012 C-Dory 22 Cruiser. It has an all metal steering wheel. Does anyone know the size and manufacturer of the stock rubber coated steering wheel? I think the rubber would be much more comfortable in Alaska and I would like to purchase and install a replacement.

It is just a "destroyer" steering wheel. They are commonly available in a variety of sizes from many suppliers, coated or uncoated. I'm guessing it is about 15-16 inches.
 
Check the diameter before you order.
Too large a wheel can eliminate some of the clearance some people need for their thighs under the wheel.
The hub dimensions are pretty much standard, these days.

Another thought / alternative:
Just keep your existing wheel and wrap it with an automotive style leather / sports kit from a auto parts store.
Just be sure the kit will size right on the wheel of your C-Dory.
My rough guess / IIRC is that most C-Dorys have about a 14 to 14-1/2 inch diameter wheel, and most cars are slightly larger.

Another thought: Add a "spinner knob" for one handed and reverse gear operation. A lot of us have found them very useful and convenient in many ways, even though we're not in the "necker knob" age group anymore! :lol:

What joe said about steering wheel tape. Handle bar tape for bicycles, same deal, though probably take a couple sets.
