Stillaguamish South Pass, West Pass: navigable at high tide?

NOTE:

Correction on the tides:

High was +5.0ft at 10:35am, low was +0.4ft at 7:50pm.

Approx tide level when photos were taken was +2.0ft.

Larry, Y'done good. Couple of years ago EQ had a customer take that route in the dark -- and made it. Wheeeew. He didn't know how to spell tide -- and even though I have no idea what alcohol smells like :wink:, I suspect he may have had a couple.

I have kayaked into the river from the south on two occasions, and it is very difficult to find your way. Mind you, a kayakers eyes are only a few feet above the water, and all of the braided channels, large drift logs and stumps, that surround the mouth make for visual distortions. At least in a kayak if you run aground you can just get out and walk!
Dusty, I'm with you. No idea what it smells like either :roll: . I would never drink and paddle.
