Push the window forward and hold it in the forward position while pressing the window release, then slide the window open. :smiled

Dave-Thanks for the response, but I am pretty sure tht the latch is relased. Maybe it is debris, as mentioned above. I'll try some air pressure and the teflon stuff. By the way, on this little boat I have to push the window backward to release the latch then slide it forward. At least I think I do. Thanks again.
