Stern Saver

Interesting. I didn't delve in enough to see what that two-part adhesive is [edit: I see it is an epoxy], but it looks a bit like what I'm doing with a piece of Starboard™ and Weld Mount studs (they use methacrylate for the bond to the fiberglass and then nuts to hold the Starboard to the studs). Except that I was able to make the Starboard piece just the shape I wanted it to be (which was a bit wider and sloped to match the deadrise angle - and with a sharp edge). <---I was told this was important so that the water would flow straight off the hull, over the Starboard, and onto the tranducers, but how much difference it makes I don't know.

Sometimes (overdrilled and filled) holes probably work out best (for example, I decided to go with holes for mounting the trim tabs); but other times you can do things with Weld Mounts or similar and avoid them.
