Stashing a cooler

I'm a new C-Dory owner and am starting to "trick out" the cabin interior to make camping easier for me and my wife. One of the things we absolutely have to have inside is a cooler. I would really like to hear from folks who have managed to stash one creatively inside the cabin. Thanks!

Which boat do you have?
I've done like most of the others and have thrown out the factory icebox that came under the helm seat.
Unlike others, I replaced it with a norcold refrigerator. It beats the heck out of soggy food mixed in with your choice of beverages.
When on the hook, I'll use 30 to 40 amp-hours during a normal 12 to 16 hour camp-out, using fridge, TV, stereo, anchor and cabin lights, etc. You'll gain 90% of that back in the first hour of running, depending on your motor.
A good group 31 house battery is all it takes to increase the comfort level to at-home levels.

I agree with Minnow! Get the 12V fridge and do away with the cooler. ;) I found one on EBay that I am going to install on my 27' under the helm seat. I figure if it takes too much power I'll just add another battery and run my motor at idle a bit more.

BTW: Welcome aboard!

OK, Im convinced that the refrigerator is the way to go. I'd like to know what kind, model, etc. you guys used, and any more information that you'd be willing to share about it.
