Others may be aware of the "sound / noise / droaning / reverberation" inside the cabin on the C-dory 16' anglers.

Anyone?? have any ideas on how to rid the un-wanted "droaning / reverberation" inside the cabin??

Thoughts??

Thanks,

This was discussed at length a few years ago, and there were two, maybe three, conclusions, as I remember:

1. Add sound deadening insulation to the inside of the cabin, such as carpet on the walls, curtains, a headliner, etc.

2. Build a baffle in front of the motor, the source of the noise, causing the reverberations. (Standing sound waves and resonance.)

3. If all else fails to control the noise satisfactorily, try earplugs or headphones. There are even "active" headphones, with electronic circuitry, that produce sound canceling sound to nullify the bothersome droning.

I'll try to find the original thread, if possible, using words like resonance, droning, reverberation, etc.

HERE YOU GO! : (Second edit, got it right this time!)
