I have a 1985, 18' Angler W/B with same year 50hp Johnson motor and trailer. It is in good shape and has a marine radio, lowerance, depth finder, bait well, compass. I have decided to sell her to someone who would give her a good home and enjoy her as much as I have. I am asking $4000.00 for all. I just do not have the time anymore to take care and enjoy her.

Dave -

My guess would be Work Boat.

If that price is correct (I got the info in an email from the seller), this won't be on the market for long.

OK Bobbie.... Come out of hidding.... Attempted PM and Email...but no call back or follow on. Maybe you took her out on a nice 4 day cruise. Would like to come look at your boat.

Did C-Dory ever make a 18' Angler? Could it possibly be a Toland 18.8? Being that it is in Fla. I'll bet it is an open fisherman deep v- type boat with a Bimini top and not related to C-Dory.

Rich,

It is a C-Dory. I saw it this afternoon. Pretty decent shape. The title says that is an 18. However, it was originally titled in North Dakota. Bobbie said that state did not have titles for boats. So it may have been erroneously titled. It is definitely not a deep V hull. The hull has no deadrise. It is really flat.

I beleive CD did make an 18' angler at that time. The Divine Miss C is another brat boat that's listed as an 18' angler...

Here is a picture Bobbie sent me last night of her boat. Pictures were out of focus and this is the best one. No C-Dory Logo, but appears to be the real deal based on the trim line, Sun Visor, and window config.

Back in the early 80's I went to the Seattle Sportsmans Show. there sitting along one side of the show was this strange new boat I had never seen before. It was a 18 ft C-Dory Angler. I spent the next two hours just examining every inch of that sweet fishing machine and told my friend that was with me that someday I would definatly have me one of these.
my dream came true about 1999 . it wasn't the 18 but a 1983 22 ft Angler.

C Dory did make an 18 during the mid 80s. Until Bobbies' showed up mine was the only one I had ever seen. Mine is an 84, Bobbie says hers is an 85. I don't know the code on the HINs but mine is MFN18012F484 (maybe#12 ????) No idea how many were built or for how long.

The only piece of that I can decipher is the last three digits: " 484" says it was made April of 1984.

Twelve is a good guess for its number.

Also noticed from the pictures that Bobbies boat does not have the cabin bulkhead like mine. It appears to be open at the back like the current 16s and 19s.

Seems like every time an oddball C-Dory makes an appearance, similar questions come up.

While probably not all-inclusive, I just added some older C-Dory history to the library - info here.

Hi There,
I've been checking out this great site for a couple of months now and have looked at a 22 and a 16. Now I registered so I could bug you all with questions and also e-mail Bobbie about her 18'er. I wanted to ask Norm what his 18 weighs for towing (With trailer). I have a Toyota Tacoma 6 cylinder and am not sure if I can pull an 18' c-dory with it. I am tempted to run to Florida from Reno, NV. and pull back a c-dory 18. Thanks for sharing with us wannabee c-dorians.

I got word today that this boat has sold. Normally we move these ad to the Market Place Reference forum where the threads are locked, but because this is such an interesting boat we'll leave the topic active for a bit longer.

Who knows, maybe the guy who bought it will speak up!

JT, I haven't weighed my 18 yet. Another of those things I just haven't gotten around to. I tow mine with a Dodge Dakota with the V6. Seems to be quite adequate. I would expect that weight is just a bit less than the current 19 (1 ft shorter and about 6 inches less beam).

OK.... I am addicted. I now own 2 C-Dory boats....again. I made the drive down Tue/Wed and bought the boat from Bobbie. Great Lady.

Dave...who has been a C-Brat since 21May05... :disgust I am puzzled that you would attempt to talk Bobbie into selling you the boat prior to me arriving when she told you that I was in route....on my way down from Bama, and was in St. Pete in less than 12 hours from when I got her contact information...and 8 hours of that was drive time... :smile But, after seeing this boat, I can appreciate your efforts....and may have given her the same pitch you gave her....."You are going to hold it against me because I live here???   Wow...

It is in real nice shape for being 20 years old.
